My go-to anti-inflammatory Green Juice

Healthy habits need to be seamless enough & compatible with your lifestyle. I have made the same green juice for years, because it's packed with goodness and so easy to make - and well, I am a creature of habit. While I adore smoothies filled with whole fruits & fibre, my green juice is also a vital part of my day because it's so medicinal, easily absorbed, and very alkalising.


I drink this juice every afternoon Monday to Friday. It's best to have it on an empty stomach so that the juice is absorbed quickly & not interfered with from a previous meal. The cucumber is so hydrating & alkalising; the ginger is anti-inflammatory & anti-viral; the spinach is loaded with nutrients & minerals; and the apple contains healthy vitamins and makes it taste YUM.


You will need a juicer. A cold press juicer is always better than a masticating juicer. Place all ingredients slowly through the juicer. I usually start with the spinach and ginger as they are more fibrous, and then add the cucumber and apple to help to move it through the process. If you can get your hands on organic ingredients, this will add an extra punch of nutrients!


Ingredients:

  • Half a cucumber

  • 1 red apple (or 1.5 apples if you like sweeter)

  • 2 handfuls of spinach

  • A small knob of ginger peeled
