My Story
“...DNA do not control our biology; instead, DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. You can live a life of fear or live a life of love. You have the choice.”

Hello & welcome
I'm Sarah Holmes and welcome to Wired To Heal, a platform that is home to my health journey, expertise & passion. I am so happy to have you here, showing up wherever you are in your own health journey. Health & wellness has been my personal & academic obsession for the past decade & has fundamentally shaped who I am & how I see the world.
My curiosity and determination to overcome my own health challenges of a rare and aggressive auto-immune disease (Scleroderma), lead me down a path of research and studying. Today I am a Wellness Facilitator, a certified neuroscience-aligned Life & Business Coach; and a Health Coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition). More recently I have been studying through King's College London, my MSc of Neuroscience and Psychology of Mental Health.
My niche interest in neuroscience, combined with my holistic approach to well-being, is what sets me apart in this industry.
My diagnosis at age 15, turned my world upside down & I had to find my feet within a new identity. Mastering my mind in my adult years, and understanding the impact that thoughts & beliefs have physiologically, has been at the cornerstone of my healing. So too has gut health, clean eating, mindfulness, stress management, sleep, toxic free living, and an anti-inflammatory lifestyle.
The wellness industry today is bigger than ever, full of noise and opinions. People are confused & apathetic about their own health, as a result. We have forgotten how to tune into our body's messages. We are overwhelmed by choice, stuck in unhealthy habits, and disconnected from our natural state of thriving. I know, because I have been there.
I live in beautiful Stellenbosch, South Africa with my husband & our doodle Ellie. We left behind city living & have not looked back. I enjoy taking walks through the neighboring wine farms where we live, pottering around my vegetable garden, or cooking up a storm.
I come from a family that loves celebrating through food and connection - this philosophy has influenced who I am & become the heartbeat of my home.
I decided to get very real a few years ago about my personal journey of chronic disease. For a deeper insight into that journey please click below for blog: 'In the Trenches of Healing'.
